Salisbury Sterling & Pewter
Founded in 1979, Salisbury, Inc., has roots in Salisbury and
Easton, Md., as well as Philadelphia, Pa. A group of local
investors purchased a Kirk Pewter plant in Salisbury. Kirk Pewter
and Steiff Pewter were merging to become "Kirk-Steiff," and moved
their operations to Baltimore, Md. The investors decided to
continue the manufacturing of pewter at the Salisbury facility, and
Salisbury Pewter was born. An original investor continues to own
the company.
In
1998, the company purchased Web Pewter and Sterling (a 50-year-old
manufacturer in Philadelphia). Manufacturing was then moved to
Easton. In 2000, the company introduced sterling silver to its line
and changed its name from Salisbury Pewter to Salisbury, Inc.,
which has an excess of 700 items in its line. Because of its
reputation and quality, the company has been commissioned by the
White House, the Senate and House of Representatives to do most of
their pewter awards and recognition pieces.

Galmer Sterling Silver
Combining his passion for the arts of the Renaissance with his
Moscow University electrochemical engineering and physics
background, Michael Izrael has developed a unique silver process
that gives new life to Repousse, the traditional craft of pushing
designs from the backside of metals. Izrael, his wife and baby
daughter, left Russia seeking freedom to pursue his dreams and a
better life.
Three months in Italy enhanced his zest for the fine arts.
Arriving in the United States in 1981, he embarked on a journey to
build his own business, applying his experience and knowledge using
tools and techniques available in the U.S. Now, the father of two
owns Galmer Silversmiths which make designs of yesterday with
intricate detailing and three-dimensional appearance.
Lunt Silver
Set
on the edge of the Berkshire Mountains of Western Massachusetts in
the small town of Greenfield, Lunt Silversmiths was founded in 1882
by George C. Lunt and Anthony Towle with the goal of manufacturing
the finest sterling tableware and giftware. In 1902 Mr. Lunt
assumed full control of the company and it has remained in family
hands since that time. Over the years Lunt has produced
award-winning designs and built a reputation for unmatched
workmanship and quality.
Currently,
Lunt manufactures over a thousand different items in our Greenfield
